We have designed our schedule to maximize your networking opportunities as evening activities are scheduled every night of the conference. Days will be spent gaining the training you need from our amazing program content, and the nights will provide the fun and relaxation you want. Begin mapping your course now!

First Timer’s Orientation
8:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Don’t be afraid to dive into something new if you’ve never attended one of USPRA’s conferences before! Attendees new to our conference scene are provided an overview of the conference components and an opportunity to have any questions answered while making connections with others.

Welcome Rally
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
All hands on board for the Call to Recovery! Attendees and Exhibitors will come together in a festive atmosphere to “commission” the start of the conference. With two floors of music, energizing motivational speakers, book signings and a range of food and beverage, you are guaranteed a good time while greeting old friends and meeting new ones. And for all of the book lovers out there: During the Welcome Rally, USPRA will be opening its impressive bookstore, complete with books authored by conference presenters as well as other publications of interest for persons working in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation, for you to peruse at your leisure!
 
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Fellows
8:30 – 10:00 pm
USPRA Fellows are USPRA members who have reached a level of distinction in the professional practice of psychiatricrehabilitation and advancement of the field through their involvement in the Association, service-based programs, scientific inquiry, advocacy, and/or chapter development. An USPRA Fellowship will be conferred upon those who have met a standard of excellence in the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation. A Fellows' contributions extend beyond his or her individual job to a wider sphere of influence.
This is the first year USPRA is bestowing the Fellowship and we are pleased to recognize these individuals.  An intimate, invitational reception will be held in honor of the first class of fellows in the Chair’s suite.

CPRP Invitational Celebration  
12:15-1:30 pm
Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners who have reached their 10th anniversary in the CPRP Program will be honored at our 3nd Annual CPRP 10-Year Recognition Reception. This year, the presentation of commemorative certificate plaques will be made during a lunch reception sponsored by Value Options.
All CPRPs attending the conference are encouraged to register ($15) for this event to congratulate your colleagues on this singular achievement!
Seating is limited; please RSVP at the registration desk by noon on Date/Time.
 
Awards Reception
5:00 pm – 6:15 pm
After a day filled with quality education during our sessions and workshops, please join us in honoring Lorna L. Moser, Ph.D., Jacob P. Bucher, Anthony Campinell, Ph.D., and Cory Storch, MS, CPRP, as the recipients of USPRA’s 2009 Awards of Distinction for their outstanding contributions to the field of psychiatric rehabilitation.
 
Dine-Arounds
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join people with mutual interests for a networking dinner at a local Norfolk restaurant. Topics already scheduled: Clubhouse, GLBT, Supported Employment in the Department of Veterans Affairs-CWT-SE, Department of Veterans Affairs PSR Fellows, Department of Veterans Affairs Recovery Centers-Peer Support and Peer Run Services. Be sure to join us for a wonderful meal and exceptional conversation!
 
International Reception

Spirit of Norfolk Cruise
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Now it’s time to relax and enjoy the water! USPRA will provide an evening of complimentary dinner and dancing for the first 400 deluxe package registrants! Quite simply, you don’t want to miss out on this ultimate Norfolk experience. The Spirit dinner cruise along the Hampton Roads Harbor is an elegant, magical night filled with wonderful cuisine, live music and dancing under a canopy of stars. Boarding begins promptly at 6:30, and the cruise will last from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. But don’t worry, you’re night doesn’t end there: you will be able to remain on the boat dockside from 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm…the perfect way to end a perfect night! If you were one of the first 400 to register for USPRA's deluxe conference package, then you will receive cruise information (the cruise pass, etc.) in your registration packet upon your arrival in Norfolk.
