Welcome to IAPSRS! Your Window to the World of Psychiatric Rehabilitation! IAPSRS (the International Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services) is the premier source for individuals around the world and those interested in international issues who practice and support psychiatric/psychosocial rehabilitation. We are strong advocates for a universal understanding and use of psychiatric rehabilitation principles to achieve recovery. Cultural diversity plays a significant role in an individual's recovery and life, and it is only through interaction with other cultures can we begin to understand that role and to share successful recovery models throughout the world. We offer the amazing opportunity for you to discuss psychiatric rehabilitation issues with members from around the globe. You can also find information about Psychiatric Rehabilitation in several languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.) In the future this information will be translated into other languages. A brief summary of the countries represented in our association:
Our goal is to make information about Psychiatric Rehabilitation accessible around the world through our website and communications. We also hope to establish contacts around the world to help IAPSRS share its knowledge and learn new ideas!
Check out all of the International Resources for Psychiatric Rehabilitation! Begin sharing your experiences and network internationally through our Message Board! For more information on IAPSRS, please contact Ms. Carolyn Peterson (cpeterson@highlandscsb.org) or Mrs. Sue Carr (sue.carr@ofcmhap.on.ca). |
